15 Low Carb/Keto Superbowl Party Snacks
With Superbowl sneaking up on us quickly you might be thinking about what you can make to stay on plan. Going to parties where there are tons of sugary high-carb foods makes me nervous when I’m trying to stick to a low-carb diet. It’s so tempting to me. But if we have low carb/keto snacks available then it’s super easy to keep on plan.
I find that bringing 2-3 low-carb snacks with me helps. And usually when I get to the superbowl party and put my snacks out for everyone to enjoy there are serval people that thank me because they too are keto or following a low-carb lifestyle.
Here is a list of my favorite snacks for Superbowl parties.
Low Carb/Keto Appetizers
Keto Mozzarella Sticks from Low Carb Yum – What I love about these is they freeze great. So I can save time by making it a few days before. Also, it’s just a great thing to always have on hand for holidays or get-togethers. One tip is you have to include the parmesan cheese in the breading mix, it helps it become crispy when cooking.
Keto Chili from That Low Carb Life – What I love about this chili is Karly uses tomato paste and beef broth instead of tomatoes sauce. This helps keep the carb count low. This recipe is only 6 net carbs for serving. I like to add a little bit of liquid smoke to this chili. It’s so yummy!
Keto Baked Buffalo Chicken Wings from Wholesome Yum – Who doesn’t love buffalo chicken wings? A Superbowl party isn’t complete without buffalo wings. One time I was at a Superbowl and there were no wings and I can’t tell you how many people kept asking where are the wings? It was almost comical. People were upset there were no wings. This wing recipe is super good!
How to Build an Epic Charcuterie Board from Peace Love and Low Carb – Kyndra gives you an excellent guide and how to build an Epic Charcuterie Board and let me tell you, you will get lots of people oohing and aahing. You can count on there NOT being leftovers if you bring this to your Superbowl party.
Easy Keto Stuffed Mushrooms from Maebells – These stuffed mushrooms really are so simple to make. They are delicious! I like to add herbs to the cream cheese. I also have made these using pizza sauce or a thick marinara instead of cream cheese and it was like having little mini mushroom pizzas.
Keto Pigs In A Blanket from KETOCONNECT– Matt and Megha don’t disappoint with these keto pigs in a blanket. What I love about this recipe is it’s only 1.6 net carbs per serving! The dough used to wrap these little logs of meat heaven is so tasty I can’t believe it’s not wheat.
Cucumber Guacamole Appetizer Bites from Kalyn’s Kitchen – These cucumber bites are so easy and quick to make and healthy. You will not feel guilty eating these little babies. My tip is to make sure you don’t cut the cucumber slices too thin. I had to remind myself not to cut them thin several times out of habit.
Keto Cheddar Jalapeno Meatballs from All Day I Dream About Food – What is great about meatballs is you can eat them without getting messy, you just put a toothpick in them, and voila! Also, you can eat 4 meatballs for only 1 carb. The sharp cheddar and jalapenos go so well together. These meatballs are very satisfying.
Smoked Salmon Cream Cheese Dip from My Life Cookbook – Who doesn’t love smoked salmon dip. I live in the Pacific Northwest and smoked salmon is a staple here. I have made this with and without liquid smoke and it’s really good both ways. I have also added chives instead of green onions and that was very tasty as well. You could serve this with some low-carb crackers or celery sticks or cucumber slices.
Keto 7-Layer Dip from Maria Mind Body Health – When I first tried this dip at a friend’s house I couldn’t believe it didn’t contain refried beans in it. It’s amazing! Maria’s recipes never disappoint. She is one of my favorite food bloggers.
Low Carb/Keto Desserts
Super Fudgy Keto Brownies from gnom- gnom – I feel it is imperative that all Superbowl parties must have lots of sweets and desserts for us ladies. I’m not much of a football fan, I’m at the party for the food…period! Lol! These fudgy brownies are the bomb and they will have you doing a happy dance.
Keto Flourless Chewy Double Chocolate Chip Cookies from Peace Love and Low Carb – Kyndra creates the yummiest treats. This is one of my favorite low-carb cookie recipes. And they are chewy!! If you have been gluten-free or grain-free for a while you know it’s hard to achieve that chewy texture for baked goods. But she did it! Bravo Kyndra!
Flourless Magic Cookies from Low Carb Love – Myra from Low Carb Love is the sweetest woman and she is an excellent baker. I first discovered her on Instagram and she is very interactive with her followers which is so nice. What I love about her recipes is they turn out every time and they are super simple to follow.
Keto Cheesecake Bites from The Big Mans World – Who doesn’t like cheesecake? These cheesecake bites from The Big Mans World are tasty and creamy and only 2 grams net carbs per serving. You can jazz these up by adding key lime flavoring or chocolate if you like.
Keto Chocolate Coconut Balls from Exploring Momma – Coconut and chocolate go together so well. It’s difficult for me to have coconut without chocolate. I like to make a batch of these and put them in my freezer. It helps me stay on track when my family is having a dessert that is NOT low carb. I just go to my freezer and get one of these balls and it satisfies my sweet tooth.
As someone who tries to live a keto/low carb lifestyle, parties and get-togethers can be difficult for me to stick to my eating plan unless I plan ahead and bring my own appetizers. I have found there are also people that appreciate this as well.
I hope you try some of these recipes. Let me know in the comments.
Much Love.
Melissa
